Just spoke to CT Engineering and they say otherwise.

On the new kits they sell its bottom feed, bottom drain.

That's why I got an extra long oil line in the kit.

What was their logic behind this? That makes no sense to me, as the feed oil is fighting the pressure head from the existing oil in the blower and what guarantees that oil reaches the top of the gears?

I feel that it wouldn't hurt to switch it as 100s if not 1000s of people have run with the top feed oil line with no issues just to see if it resolves your problems.

Ive ran a novi 1000 for a few years now with a top mounted feed also.

I've asked CT to speak to Paxton and justify why, as I agree that the top mounted position has never been an issue for me.

I just need to know that the oil squiter fitted is suitable for the top and has the same flow rate as the older systems.

I have a new (2014) CT 1200 kit with top feed and bottom drain, as configured by them. Who knows.

I'm working on it. I have replaced the vtec solenoid gasket and have rev'd the car to deadline, and it made it all the way so I'm not 100% sure.

The car needs to me map again which it is booked in for on Wednesday.

I am still awaiting confirmation from Nate about the oil squirter position.

As soon as I know the one I have installed will fit and not foul the gears it will be getting moved to the top.

Installation

Vtec block connection

And if you look where the torch is shinning you can see the connection point to the squirter

Nah, that can't be right Jim. Every Novi blower I have seen on our cars feeds at the top. My N1220 conversion onto an old Comptech kit had the feed at the top. The port is clearly visible in your second picture. I don't see any reason why your existing fitting can't be swapped to the top position, and use the plug currently in the top position to plug the bottom port.

Same here although mine is a 1220.
