Just another ptuning build thread
Jim, look into river city powder coating. They are local and they do ceramic coating. Mase has had a lot if work done their with them, so maybe he can get you a deal. Also, Elliott and I are running the Dei t3 titanium blanket. If you wanna try it on, let us know. There pretty small.
This is front toan from ptuning.
"The standard T3 turbo blanket may not be compatible with the Tial turbine housing that we use. You may want to contact www.atpwrap.com instead. They should have specs for an inconel heat shield for use with our turbine housing. This would be a better alternative than a blanket. Truth be told though, due to the thin wall stainless steel design of the Tial housing and the location of our turbocharger, heat radiation is honestly not an issue. The three customers that have tracked their cars did so with no blankets or wraps. I personally say don't worry about adding one. "
I contacted ATP and it's pretty expensive. 375 for manifold and 290 for turbo housing. Has anyone used them ?
Blanket is cheaper but will it fit??

2 yrs 30K miles on the kit. You don't need the wrap. The turbo sits so low, there is absolutely no heat issues in the bay. An issue I had was the coolant line cracking at the turbo and started to leak after the 1st year. Running -4an braided line solved the problem. May leak again so I have to keep an eye on it. No issues with the oil lines going bad so far.
I did not use heat shield on passenger motor mount and when I took out the mount to put in the yellow mount insert, the black insert still looks new. Some had issues with melting their mounts. Mine was still good.
If you are short on cash, use it on getting better injectors.
1. Make sure to use the locking tabs on the tail housing.
2. Get ID1300 cc injectors. You'll thank me later. (Was never satisfied with the power until I went E85)
3. All you need is a A/F gauge and a mechanical boost gauge.
4. Get a MAC boost solenoid. $25-$30.

I don't know if you have or not, but I would add ARP exhaust manifold studs to you list Jim. The stock studs are ok but can break easily when removing and from added weight. I feel they aren't bad to have for extra insurance.
