I wonder if that would fit on my car given the heatshields I am currently using:

Maybe I could use that instead of having my frame notched? I don't know if the damper would do enough to prevent the turbo from hitting the frame.

The damper is adjustable so you can move the engine alot.

My suggestion is to not notch the frame but take a rubber mallet or something of that sort and put and indentation in and then throw one of these on.

Before my damper a corner of my compressor housing was smashed into the frame(there is an indentation there now) Now with the damper Im im 1/4 inch away from the frame rail. However it does introduce a lot of vibrations, however again though, shift and power transfer seems to be a lot smoother

Have you had any problems with the studs which hold the turbo to the manifold backing off?

Well, I dropped my S back off at the shop this afternoon. Aside from the issues I mentioned in my initial post, something weird is going on with the EGTs--I don't have my Defi EGT gauge installed yet (sensor is already tapped into turbo manifold), so I can't see what the actually EGTs are, but at idle the manifold is getting VERY hot. Doesn't make any sense because it now has the 1600 degree coating (as compared to the 1200 degree coating) so the temps should be even lower. The only "real" change that has been made to the car since having the turbo and manifold repaired was the installation of an AEM 3.5 bar map sensor. This shouldn't cause the current AFR to change though. Very confusing and I am very interested to have the root cause identified.

well the manifold gets very hot and the hot temps arn't helping either.

Get the EGT gauge hooked up so we have some hard data, it should be 400-700 degrees idling for a couple min.

I have a vented hood, and when the manifold had the 1200 degree coating it very got close to this hot. Doesn't matter if it was sitting there idling or if I just got done running her hard. Something is wrong.

I'd love to get the EGT gauge hooked up, but honestly I don't have the cash right now. Too many other expenses right now (going through a child custody battle). The stereo shop that I use is going to charge me about $800 to put my three gauges in the center of the dash and I simply don't have that kind of money right now.

800

Bro, trust me, if you can devote 3-4 hours MAX you can EASILY install the gauges yourself for free. I installed my 4 gauges in dash in about 3 hours, which included all the wiring and sensor taps. Its VERY easy.

Don't get sodimized to have so simple installed
