Default KW Kit install: Clutch Inquiry

Hey guys, you might have saw that I posted my KW kit up for sale within the classifieds. No one is biting, so I'm probably just gonna go ahead and install the kit already.

I'm looking at parts for the drivetrain and thought about what I'm going to need to replace. As far as the kit is concerned, I'm hoping to put down about 369-380 whp and 250 ft lb tq. Now with an upgraded clutch, will an upgraded pressure plate and lighter flywheel work fine with the application while using the stock disc? Reason I ask is because my clutch has around 15,000 miles on it. To some that may be a mild amount, but I don't think that's anywhere near a lot.

Don't want to explain too much, but I'd like to just replace the pressure plate and flywheel with an ACT PP and AP1 flywheel. If this is just a dumb question and an upgraded disc, clutch release, and pilot bearing are also needed, please let me know. I'm not that knowledgeable on the drivetrain so I would like to learn a bit more.

Alan,

If you have the transmission off, you better change those bearings ... It would be dumb not too.

Would my used clutch be that detrimental to use?

^ It's $100 or less for a new disc so many don't take a chance.

ehhh, i chose not to go with a stock disc. theres two ways to get more power thru the clutch, more friction material in the disc, or a stronger pressure plate. if you increase the pressure plate strength, you will increase pedal stiffness, and put more wear on the thrust washers. but if you put a better disc in, and use an aftermarket pressure plate that doesnt go ape shit with the pressure, you get the best of both worlds.

i would look at the SOS sport kit, or the CM stage 2 or 3 setup. i have over 10k miles on my CM stage 3 with zero problems.

I will probably order up the SOS sport kit this week and plan on using a (used) ap1 flywheel for my Base SOS'd '05. However, I'm unsure when I will install it or get it installed so I don't know how soon I can offer up feedback on the setup.

On similar note, am I foolish to use a used (about 52k miles) ap1 flywheel, whether resurfaced or not? Or should I not be cheap and buy a new ap1 flywheel?
