Default Larger throttle body and ported manifold?

My current mods are listed below and was thinking about going with a 74mm throttle body and fully ported manifold for $500. Do you think it would be worth the money? My car is currently down while building my new setup so it would not cost me anymore down time for my car so if I am going to do it, I would do it now.

I doubt the manifold does mutch, but doesnt hurt to do it while port matching for the TB.
I dont have experience, but based on reading and Sideways' input, I would certianly say the larger TB is worth it. Never heard of 74mm though, largest I know was ProFlow 70mm!
Do It!

Here are a few links:

Top End Motor Sports

In Line 4

STR

I decided to go that route. My S should be up and running in a few weeks and I will post my opinion on it.

I would like to know if that would do any good on a supercharged car. I would assume it would because of more air. Any info on that would be great!

Frans2k, good to see you back I still have your EMS

I went with the Proflow 70 and matched the manifold myself with a honing tool I bought at the parts store!
Worked like a charm!

$500 for a ported TB and manifold? That's pretty cheap. I would question the quality of the porting job on the manifold. Will it just be the openings? Or, are they also porting the inside (e.g., cutting open, porting the runners and plenum and then rewelding back together?)

Not on my S, but on my TT, I had my tb and intake manifold ported and polished, which netted a gain of about 25% total increase flow. It was flow tested on a high pressure flow tester (done by Wilson Manifolds). What's more important, the rate of flow for each runner was almost identical. The cost was about $1000 for the job.

If done properly, a p&p tb and manifold will do wonders for a FI system.

Wow! You're signature is badass! How fast is that thing? At 12psi, in the cool weather mine would haul some serious ass. I can't imagine what yours would be like . Is the Alanis head job worth the big bucks? What clutch are you using?
Sorry to steal the thread .
