Default leakdown results for cometic 2mm 413whp

UPDATE:
gave m buddy back his tester and got the tester we have at my work.
tested at 40psi-
cyl1:9%
cyl2:25%
cyl3:9%
cyl4:12%

compression test:
cyl1:225
cyl2:220
cyl3:225
cyl4:227

the only time i could really hear hissing was from cyl 2 and it sounded like the intake valve.
but either way, those numbers are much closer to what i was expecting.

harbor freight leak-down tester FTL.

in light of everyone with their hg issues and problems relating to turbo motors, i decided to test mine just to see whats up.

i pull great vac, 23-24 at idle, 28-29 on a 3500 decel.

what have you guys seen on yours?

maybe the valves on 2 and 3 werent closed all the way? or this gauge just reads slightly high? i know there is a massive difference in comp tests between testers. car runs great, no bubbles in coolant, no overheating, perfect compression numbers. just a general leakdown to see what was going on so far.

fwiw, my tuners comp tester showed 221-225 on my motor after the dyno... thats like 10-15 psi higher. lol
You said gauge, this is a one-gauge setup? , curious.

the tester does have 2 gauges. one showing the regulated pressure to be disbursed, and one showing the leak percentage. the gauge pretty much starts at 10%. i dont understand that. it has the "set" range, then a tiny mark, then 20%... lol and each tiny mark is rep of 5... its like you either have zero, or 15-20 min.

** edit - just read your description of the gauges - weird tester**

I'm curious, why not use 100 psi ?
then you monitor the "leak" gauge to see what pressure you end up with. It's easy to then just see what percentage of pressure you loose. Or is the tester setup to use lower pressure?

^im right there with ya bro!

what a waste of space that thing was. the one i got form work was out of our track-tools box, so its not even the matco one, but it works ten times better.

i was pretty confused there for a sec with great comp results and shitty leakdown.lol!
