Liquid intercooler question
I have a liquid intercooler. On summer, I used plain water to circulate to the matrix. On winter, I used windshield washer.
I noticed the windshield washer create some sh*t inside the intercooler.
I don't want to use anti-freeze, is there any solution to mix so does not create some white-bluish gunk inside the intercooler?

you're supposed to use a 50/50 mix of distilled water and antifreeze. if you're using windshield washer, it might not be made w distilled water, and you say in the summer you use "plain water" which i'm assuming isn't distilled either...which means it has metal ions in it. this will lead to solid deposits in the intercooler.
you should just switch to the antifreeze mix..i think antifreeze has a much higher heat capacity than regular water

I don't know about the higher heat capacity of of the antifreeze. From what I read, majority was saying plain water is the best of them all. So, I keep using Poland water. Yes, I did not use destilled water. I've been looking for destilled water but I can't find in my area. The windshield washer also creates some bluish gunk too. Maybe what I need to do is buy a gallon of methanol and mix it 50 50.
go to any supermarket, they sell gallon jugs for 1 dollar! Do not put washerfluid in it! Even a small amount of anti-freeze should do the job of it not freezing. In the winter i would just do that and call it a day. You have probably greatly decreased the efficiency of your intercooler. I would recommend you wash it out a few times before you set it up.

^Not true. Water has higher heat capacity than almost any additive I know. Antifreeze is an electrolyte, it raises the boiling point and lower the freezing point. It also has some corrosion inhibitors. So it has some benefit. But the best is Redline Water wetter. Mix with distilled water at instructed ratio (much lower than 50:50) to lower surface tension. This allows the water to stay up against the tube walls better. In the U turns on the ends of the exchanger, water normally lifts off the walls due to momentum & surface tension of the water. In these areas where water flow has lifted off tube wall, cooling is greatly diminished.

I will stop by supermarket today and flush the sh*t.
I will also use what you recommended, small amount of anti-freeze and destilled water.
I think this will do good than what I'm currently using.
Here is my Liquid cooler

Oh by the way, someone told me to put vinegar for flushing the intercooler. Leave overnight and flush it...all the junk will be gone.
Thanks
