looking for a 3.8 Vortech pulley - recommendations?
I am looking for a 3.8" vortech pulley. I want a Reichard Racing as I don't want any issues with belt slippage. The problem is that Reichard seams to be out of business. The other options are ASP and Vortech. The ASP appears to be the same as the Vortech but not 100% sure. ASP has a wait time & I believe Vortech has 3.8" as a stock item. Any advice based on experience?
Also, anyone happen to have one for sale??
Thanks!

The ASP pulley is superior to the Vortech due to the lip and depth the belt rides at.
No belt comming off or skipping like the Vortech pulley.
Reichard does not make a 3.8 inch pulley. Their largest is 3.6 inches.

3.8 is a huge pulley, you won't get any belt slip with that size. SOS sells it as well (should be in stock)

Thanks for the replies. I will give ASP a call. I have a 4" ASP pulley now. I just hope they don't take too long!
I should have my rebuilt supercharger with the 928 impeller back by next week.

Thanks for the input!
Now a tricky question. Can anyone give a good explanation on how tight the belt should be? Too tight you will have premature bearing wear on the input shaft (and eventually the gears). Too loose & belt slip.
Or, perhaps this would be a better way: How would you compare it to the tension on the factory belt that runs the AC, waterpump, and alternator?
