Thumbs up Looking for some new injectors

I currently have 1000cc injectors, and for those who don't know they are HUGE, somewhat difficult to tune (and when tuned still cause a rough idle), and require a resistor box. Anyways, I am getting a bit tired of the rough idle. It isn't terrible, as Shawn Church did a good job with the tune, but my car sounds like an alcohol funny car when idleing and I'd prefer something a bit more "stealth".

My current power goals are 450-500rwhp. Would 750cc injectors support this goal, or are they too small? Also, if I go with saturated injectors (vice peak and hold), can I unplug the resistor box or should I keep it hooked up?

Using the following formula:

Divide required Horsepower by number of injectors used...

(200 HP / 4 INJ.) = 50 HP PER. INJ.

(50HP X .50 B.S.F.C.) = 25 Lbs/Hr

(25 Lbs/Hr / .80% Duty) = 31.25 Lbs/Hr Static flow rate.

31.25 Lbs/Hr X 10.50 = 328 cc/Min. Static flow rate required.

and substituting my information (450rwhp, .60 B.S.F.C.) I came up with 885.94 cc/Min. This leads me to believe that I'll need to keep my 1000cc injectors. Thoughts?

You could probably get away with 880's.

Or you could get the AEM injector driver and ditch the resistor box.

Idle will be way better.

AEM injector driver? Heard of it, but thought it was just an expensive version of the OEM resistor box???

http://www.aempower.com/ViewProduct.aspx?ProductID=856

Works with the AEM EMS.

I do not have an AEM EMS--I have something else. Do you have to have an AEM EMS to use this device?

"Users simply hook the injector trigger wires from an ECU to the module, and then hook the output wires from the module to your injectors." This leads me to believe that you don't have to have an AEM EMS because of the "an ECU to the module" part.

"Prototype". I am under a non-disclosure agreement and cannot provide details at this time. I did have an AEM EMS on my S2000 before this prototype, and it was pretty much functional and would have supported me going turbo. Mike @ AutoWave used my S2000 to make a wiring harness which allows an AEM EMS to be used in conjunction with the factory ECU. The specific AEM EMS you have to use on an MY06+ S2000 is for an RSX. Anybody interested in this system on their MY06+ can contact AutoWave for further details.
