Default loosing boost?

I have an 02 with vortech supercharger and aftercooler. installed my boost gauge and noticed full boost is only 6 psi. I thought the vortech normally ran 7-8. i checked vaccum leaks of course there are no CELs thrown. So i dont know if maybe that is normal with some chargers. Also if the belt was slipping could you hear it?

First, check the belt for tightness. Do you know the steps in tightening the belt?

sideways, do share!

I remember comptech's thing was to tighten it as hard as u can push the tensioner pulley against the belt. After, they say you should only be able to move the belt no more than 1/4'' either way by the tensioner.

Is it possible to 'overtighten' a belt?
