LoveFab GT1 Update...
Hey guys, as some of you may have seen there has been a ton of controversy lately on the forum about LoveFab and Cody's products. Due to the problems of a few member's car, which were quite severe, Cody and his company have started to develop a tarnished reputation compared to what it once was. I am not making this post in an attempt to defend LoveFab because if they sell 100 more kits or 1 more unit it will have no effect on my life, but I have seen that there is a ton of bashing going on from some people who sound like they don't know their ass from their elbow when it comes to FI S2000's, but they still feel the need to say that all lovefab products are garbage based off of what they have read in several posts. I am not saying that members such as Shawn and Kristian didn't have severe problems or trying to down play their situations at all, but to say that all LoveFab customers are not happy with their purchases is also not true so I figured I would post about my experience with LoveFab products since I actually have them on my car and am not basing my opinion about them based off of what I read, but more importantly then turning this thread into a debate over LoveFab I would just like to let everyone know what went on with my own car and you can draw your own conclusions.
As some of you may have know recently I developed a VERY nasty rattle and vibration problem in my car. From 3-4,000 RPM my car would sound like it was falling apart and you could feel the vibration through the pedals in the car and even in your back. After all of the tweaking of my turbo kit with cutting and sanding things here and there to make the fitment perfect this seemed like the icing on a very bad cake. After diagnosing the problem, or at least what I thought to be the problem at the time, I attempted to fix it. I saw that my passenger side charge pipe had been hitting the inner fender, which was strange because I already cut my passenger side headlight brace to make it fit, but after removing my bumper I saw that the bracket that held up my intercooler had snapped in half and the FMIC was about 2" lower on the one side, which had pulled the charge pipe down. I thought it was an easy fix and made a new bracket and fixed the issue. After I started the car back up I had the same rattle/vibration that everyone on the forum had said they had with the GT1 setup.
After going crazy looking for the source of the rattle we discovered (thanks Bill
) that the downpipe had been hitting the 2nd runner on the turbo manifold, and the only way to really fix the problem was to extend the downpipe, which had always only had 1/8" of clearance since it was installed. Even better then this was that I discovered that my turbo manifold was cracked almost entirely around the wastegate.
I was basically on my last nerve with the kit and wanted to kill someone after having to fix a new rattle on the car after a few months and now the manifold, so I called up Cody out of frustration and left a not so nice message with him on Saturday. The next day, on Sunday, Cody called me back and asked me what was wrong with the kit. I told him my problems and that this was a huge PITA since the S2K is my only car and down time just kills me. He told me to send it back to him that he would have the manifold and the downpipe fixed and shipped back to me the same day. I ended up taking off the entire turbo setup on Sunday afternoon and had it shipped out on Monday morning. Cody had received it on Wednesday and fixed it and shipped it back to me on the same day so I had it back in my hands last Friday. I know that it sucks for these problems to happen at all and to have to spend that much time working on the car again, but the fact that Cody still stood behind his products and still provided me with the same customer service as when I purchsed the kit almost a year ago means a lot in my eyes.
I am glad to report that my car is now running great, with not a single rattle or vibration at all, and just wanted to let everyone know that there are LoveFab kits running out there that are running well, despite the small problems here and there that were worked out with the help and support of Cody. So whether you love him or hate him, I just wanted to let everyone know that he still supports his customers like he did from day one, and I am just happy to report that my car is currently problem free. I will keep everyone posted on my situation though as I always have. Happy boosting.

VERY happy to hear this.
You are a very patient man, and u deserve a smooth running kit.
Mine is running like a BEAST right now with this cooler weather we've been having down here.
NO rattles, NO creaks and it pulls like a bat out of h*ll...just like it should.

congrats, got any engine bay pics?
As soon as I get my other valve cover back on i'll post up some new pics. Now i'm going to order a bunch of heat wrap from summit so it will be nice and tin-foily under the hood.
