Default Maint. req'd

I am currently getting a maintenance required light flashing on start up. I have a comptech w/ aftercooler and AEM EMS, I was under the assumption that this would not work with AEM EMS since the factory pcm is gone? Anyone out there that can shed some light on this? Car seems to be running ok and boosting fine. Thanks

It works just like a stock car, through the cluster. The EMS doesn't remove the "Maint. req." function.

Clear the light, or do some Maintenance

The instuctions are in your owners manual, and in the UTH forum FAQ.

I have this same issue, but as he stated, the maintenence required light doesnt stay on, it just blinks a few times when you start the car. So this is the AEM EMS equivilant of the check engine light? It wont stay illuminated if there is a problem?

Light is normal and is based on mileage driven. It is not controlled by the ems and is totally different from the check engine light. procedure to reset it is in the owners manual.

It will only blink a few times in the beginning stages. Another few hundred miles and it will stay on.
