Default major backfire

I get some major backfire when I do a WOT pull after driving for a little going partial throttle. I'm guessing it's my crazy restrictive mugen exhaust thats causing it. Can anyone else confirm? The first few times it happend I wasn't sure what it was and let off the throttle, but yesterday it happend and I knew what it was so I continued on the throttle and the car backfired like 5 or 6 times in a row and then was normal. a mile or so down the road I did another wot pull and I got just one backfire. Then I did a number of other wot pulls after that and I didn't have any backfires. Again I assume its my restrictive exhaust, but can anyone confirm? Unfortunatley I don't know what my gauges were reading since I was going WOT my eye's were 100% focused on the road.

hmm actually the car did seem a little slower then it used to be that makes sense if it is running rich...I wonder what would have caused it do run so much richer then when it was originally tuned. Could that be from the cold temp? I am planning on changing my plugs too I actually already got a couple sets and am going to do that soon.

I would check/replace your plugs and then report back with your findings

spark is being blown out if it's under load that it's popping. and it's not really backfiring if the spark is being blown out.

i would change the plugs first, gap them correctly to what your tuner gapped them to when he tuned the car. if not, then it's the crappy ap1 coil packs.

yea I'm pretty sure this is my issue....especially since it's less then a 2.5" it's 63mm that splits into two 57mm....so its very restrictive
