Default Max Boost with a Vortech

There have been several posts in the past about the Vortech potential. I've seen posts up to 14+ lbs with a 3.8 inch pulley and belt slipping. I am currently reaching 15.7 lbs boost with a 4" pulley, no belt slipping. Max impeller speed is reached with the 3.75 inch pulley on this setup so it should be possible to reach 18 lbs of boost avoiding belt slippage.

Was there a need to change your head gasket? If so how does the midrange feel?

Keep us posted. Everyone I've heard of going to 15psi has had some nasty belt slippage.

pardon my newb question....

i see the gauge he posted, and it shows slightly above 1.0

is that reading as roughly 1.1bar? and converted to psi that is the 15.7psi?

also when an SC is suffering from belt slip how can you tell? what kind of adverse affect can this have?

Belt slippage for me just felt like a random loss of power through boost for few rpms. I am only boosting stock ~5psi, and my belt was loose.
