Default Melted engine mount

I've just removed the stock motor from my car,I am running a Kings Performance 800 kit.I was running steady at 12 psi and got around 508 bhp.As this was a shakedown year I didn't rag the car everywhere and run most of the 1500 miles I've done this year off boost.

Fernando has just rebuilt my built engine for me and putting this in my car was the reason for removing the stock motor.Once the new motor is run in the power is going to be wound up to be useable amount of power for the street, possibly around 800 hp but possibly less.I have the tranny and diff setup to take that power and more but its a case of making it street usable, anyway I digress.

The hot side innovate engine mount has melted.....to the point of it being useless now.All my hot side, turbo, manifold and downpipe are all ceramic coated so every effort has been made to eliminate such things from happening. My intentions. We're to make a heat sheald for when I start winding up the boost but didnt think it would be necessary for the use I was going to be putting it through.

This is just a warning to keep your eye on these mounts.Although my car is a Rhd setup I don't see the Lhd being massively different.

If anybody would be interested in seeing a photo of the offending item let me know ad ill get one posted up.

They should warranty the insert and they sell a nice heat shield to protect the mount post pics I would like to see it.

I think people who have used ATP have had the best results with heat containment.

Oem is the only way to go. Polyurethane mounts melt way too easy.

Here is a pic of my hasport mount after only 2 days with my track forged turbo manifold. The manifold and downpipe is also heavily heat wrapped.

I have the same mount and my turbo sits right over it. I made a heat shield to cover the mount and used a turbo blanket. I put about 5,000 miles on the setup no problems melting anything so far.

I checked my mount the last time my car was over the pit,and all seemed fine.
It's been running 17psi for a while now,and had a fair bit of dyno time.i think I might put the car back over the pit for another check, and I'm running hardrace mounts if that counts for anything

That might be the difference Steve, but these have done just 1500 miles, which is a bit worrying.
