Default Melted motor mounts

So, I have been turbo'd for about 3000 miles with Innovative 60A mounts. Noticed my down pipe rubbing, so I checked it out tonight. Lo and behold, my passenger side mount has dropped down because the durometer is melted and stretched. I am using a PFab top mount ELT mani, so figured it would be ok. My questions are:

1. What mounts are you guys using?
2. Any way to keep the 60A's from warping?
3. Are the higher durometer Innovative bushings any better at withstanding heat?
4. Do the stockers withstand the heat?
5. Anybody using the Inline Pro motor mounts?

Any comments appreciated.

Im using stock myself with no issues so far , but with the downpipe going so close in that area and the hotside being right there its just borrowed time.

Im in to see if anyone is using the inlinepro stuff yet. I may switch over. The benefits are sexy on them.

I ran 60A and my turbo melted them in 2weeks not even 200 miles. I returned them to innovative and they swapped me to the 75A and made an heatshield free of charge just give them an email or call

I ran stock with no issues. And the hot side of my turbo was less that a 1/4" away from it.

The Inline Pro ones look really nice, but they are solid. No bushings at all.

I also have stock mounts with no issues so far, I guess you could always heat shield the motor mount

I have seen some of the stock mounts rip apart. This causes alot of problems on bottom/top mount turbos because at that point your using the DP or DT as a motor mount.

Dammit! I have both of these things new waiting to go on the car! The pfab tubular top mount and the 60a. Was yours the ramhorn version or the one that comes with all the heatshields?

Happened to mine if a few hundred miles and Sarek in a few minutes. Call Innovate tell them what happened and they will send you the 70A insert.

To press the bushings in I used a long bolt & nut and a couple of very large diameter washers to squeze it together.

Personally I would recomend the factory mounts, they held up better than the Innovate on my car but, with a hardest bushing they will take more abuse than the factory at the expence of vibration through the car.

see if Ptuning will sell you their mount by itself. they rebuilt the mount for their turbo kit but it may be suitable for you.
