Which model year is best to supercharge?
If you were to put a supercharger on an S2000, which would:
1. Yield the best overall results throughout the powerband over stock?
AND
2. Most importantly (to me at least) make the car more exciting to drive.
I ask this because I know that the 04-05's have a 8000 RPM limit and a little more
tourque down low verses the higher reving 00-03's.
I know that I either want to buy a low milage mint 03 or a new 05 and eventually
supercharge it, so that is why I am asking this question.
Thanks,
Randy

They are different.
The '04-'05 has more torque that will be magnified somewhat but the torque will peak at a lower rpm than the '00-'03. This results in a shorter powerband. With that said, either one will give you a thrilling ride if you push the envelope a little.

Taking into consideration that all Honda did to create a 2.2L was to increase the stroke, I would rather boost an 00-03 personally.
Keeping in mind the higher pistons speeds with the longer stroke, thus why the redline was dropped to 8K vs 9K, I just think it would be ever so slightly safer on a 2.0 vs 2.2.
Either way, it's going to be one hell of a ride, and if tuned properly, neither should have any problems.
BTW... not sure if I would do it boosted, but I know of a few people running 04 motors off of 02 ECU's, and running them to 9K with no issues. They are quite fast too, probably running the motor a little leaner than if it had an 04 ECU connected. Thus gaining a little more out of it.

For the price difference, I would go with the 03. You get the 9k redline, glass rear window and its cheaper so you can put that savings into your 03
I don;t know if there is any major difference but I'm sure either way you go you will be happy. 9k redline is a trip but both chooses have there perks.
