Default Mounting AEM EMS

I tried to purchase a 5 foot extension for the AEM so I could mount behind my seat...no luck. AEM does not have one and the only other place that used to carry them said they no longer did that...so I am going to mount it in place of the original ECU...but how in the heck do you do that? The stock ECU has "mounting bracket" built in, the AEM does not. Please let me know what you did, so I can learn from experience. THANKS!

Shove it in there and zip tie the kick Panel in place.

I leave 2 zip ties looped on the bottom stock ECU mounting points, then use a longer zip tie to tighten across the AEM unit.. it really is a PIA getting everything jammed up in there though

Mine came with a big piece of velcro to velcro it up in there. It seems to hold it up there ok with the kick panel also supplying some push on it. Just go to a Lowes or Home Depot and get some industrial strength velcro and stick it up there that way. Just clean the areas off with some denatured alcohol first so they will stick to the metal on the car and the AEM well.

Or make some mounting brackets for it.

Thanks to all! Now if I would not have ordered the wrong TB gasket, I might get this boost build done, but due to holiday it will not be delayed. BUMMER.

That's exactly what I plan to do. Isn't it shocking though, that AEM make the device, they make the adaptor to fit the stock loom, but they don't make a mounting solution?

It's like selling wheels and tyres but not being able to fit and balance them.

make a bracket like boostedf22c did and then use vibration mounts to mount it.

Like the hooker said, just shove it in there. I cut the mounting brackets off so there is plenty of room. When I go back to stock for smog, I just stick the factory ecu up there and put the panel back to hold it.
