Default Mugen Exhaust

Is anyone running the Mugen exhaust (specifically the AP2 version) with a supercharger? If so......is there any problem with power loss and is the sound increased? If you're running a test pipe with it....that would be swell

Just would like to hear comments from Mugen users with superchargers. Thanks

I've got a AP1 mugen exhaust with a cheap-o megan test tipe. It's louder than stock, but not much. Still made 295whp on a damn hot day.

There is an actual increase with Supercharger + Mugen combo.
"Bionic Man" has dynos of this combination.

I noticed a difference when I went from stock w/SC to Mugen w/SC on the butt dyno.

I believe I'm going to run it with the new Mugen 2.2 Header. Undecided on the test pipe. I've been told that with the test pipe you lose torque. Dyno proven, but want to see it.

The AP2 Mugen exhaust gained 5 HP in my car with the Comptech S/C with aftercooler. In regards to the new Mugen header, I would run it if I were you. Just for the sound improvement and weight savings alone. Just don't expect very much out of it. Probably 3-4 hp increase and 6-8 tq increase. At least thats what I got from the new ASM header with my set up. Good luck! You will love the sound of the Mugen exhaust.

The ASM header is the same as the Mugen header. $1500.
