The real reason for the 67mm is for more power down the road or possibly carrying the turbo to my next project. He is building it and was concerned about the lag but the lack of charge piping for my vmount it actually spools decently.
The Precision 62mm will actually make about as much power, maybe more, than a Garrett 67mm.

I love the v-mount design. I wish it were a bit easier to implement on this platform (ie. a specific kit you could buy that was compatable with an aftercooler/intercooler and a Koyo). I had a similar setup on my FD with ducting directing flow to separately to the radiator and the intercooler. After hard driving, my manifold was quite cool to the touch and I'm convinced that, properly implemented, this setup is provides nearly optimal cooling for both the rad and int.

Very cool build! Congrats.

I did not modify anything but lowered the radiator fan about half and inch to an inch to make this work.

scorpiont- he hasn't ordered the new 67mm wheel yet but he did say that it will flow 72lbs per min which is good for 700hp if all the effeciency is used. he said the 62mm would yield better mid-range spool quicker and make my 500hp goals. I am debating back and forth between the two wheels right now.

the intake mesh is just aluminum window screen from home depot with a pep boys cone filter taken apart and the clamp/coupler reused

as far as my vmount being efficient its warmer on the hot side and warm on the intake side but its not terrible I can put my hand on it. I'm going back and forth between venting the hood/water meth/or creating air ducts

thanks for all the compliments

Fresh, the new 67mm already made 830whp in an Evo, imagine what it would do in a 2k! Honestly, if you can ditch the Garrett, get a 6262. Loads better midrange and still can make 700+whp.

Good info Haven't got the 67mm wheel yet so Im not totally stuck Im going to research into other 62mm wheels and the like to find exactly what im looking for mid-range, spool, over all power wise. He was also talking to me about some borg warner turbos options and ill probably be converting everything vband.
