Default My CNC Speedshop Engine Build Review

In short they are AWESOME!!!! Last year I bought an S2000 with basically a blown motor and needed a rebuild. I didn't have any options locally for the task due to the fact that I live in South Dakota. So my only option was to send out the motor. Like many of you owners I did my due diligence on this board and had called a few different shops for my build. I had read some post by Jason and just seeing how active and technical his posts were on this board I decided to call him. I will be honest I don't know the first thing to engine building but lucky for me Jason does. All I wanted was a strong long lasting daily driver motor for my turbo setup. He walked me through the whole process and a few weeks later my engine was on a pallet and shipped off.

When Jason and Cameron received my motor they quickly tore into it and upon inspection declared my head was in such a bad shape that they couldn't reuse it. Lucky for me they had a spare and built that up for me. Jason can go more into the build as far as the parts he used and how he built it because he is the expert. All I know is when they shipped my motor back the thing looked brand new. They went so far as replacing all of the bolts on the valve cover and even a new oil cap. I didn't expect this level of detail on the outside of the engine so I can only imagine what the inside looks like. While they had my motor I had them build me a catch can as well as powder coat the valve cover and intake manifold. I am still in the process of taking some pictures. Again all I can say these guys are Awesome! I have been on these boards for over 10 years and they have been a pleasure to work with.
Once I get the motor in the car and tuned I will update on what kind of power it makes. I will get some detailed pictures on here on how my motor looked before I sent it and how it was shipped back to me.

I just wrinkle painted my valve cover black today. That intake manifold makes me want to get the paint out again

They are good people! Met them in person, bought them lunch, know their stuff and supporting our community. It's a small business but those are some of the best ones around. They truly CARE about the products they build and about the customers being happy.

I will be back at his shop hopefully in spring for a dyno tune and hopefully NEVER for an engine re-build as I want this OEM one to last a lifetime!

ZSAK - What decisions made you down-select CNC rather than it's competitors? say Inline pro

These are the top 2 in my book, curious what tipped you one way or another.
