Are My Compression Numbes Ok?
Alright so my s2000 has been running just fine I have had no problems at all with it. The motor has about 10k miles of being turbo charged on the fresh build with CP 9:1 compression pistions in it and I wanted to do a compression check on it just for piece of mind. I just finished and this is what I came up with.
What do you guys think about the numbers?
#1-145
#2-150
#3-145
#4-140
And yes I did drive the car around until it got up to operating temperature.

The numbers are all fairly close together which is good but they seem too low for 9:1 CR. Shouldnt they be closer to 180's?
It's hard for the motor to pull any air through a closed TB.
all testers read differently. be concerned with the % difference between the highest and lowest. if they are really all that low, then maybe something is wrong with the HG sealing, but you would have coolant/overheating issues if that were the case.
Yes I did hold the throttle open all the way when I was doing the test. I will try to get my hands on another compression gauge and see if the numbers change at all.
Is the somewhat low numbers something I should worry about or not so much?
