Default My Full Race Kit Project

After doing 3+ months of research, speaking with a ton of people, I have decided to go with The Full Race Kit. Minitoyota is going to help do the install and then bring it to Jeff Evans for the tune. Here are the list of parts I'm planning on picking up. Let me know if you think I'm missing anything or if I should change something. This list was built with the help of Minitoyota, so I'm pretty sure it's near perfect, but figured I'd run it by the rest of the board just for other suggestions, thanks!

GT35R Full Race Turbo Kit Stage - 3

I have a mugen Exhaust...I'd like to keep the noise level down, so I'm not going to go with a 70mm pipe. I know I'm probably waisting 50hp by going this route, but I would prefer to keep it somewhat sleeper.

Looks good!

I'd only recommend the Kpro unless you have a way of getting an inspection sticker every two years ;-)

Depends how anal the inspector is. Technically you could still fail for loud exhaust, lack of cat, etc.

If you know someone that can get you a sticker you can pass. There is no way you are *legally* passing with the AEM since there is no OBDII.

Technically you could pass. You just have to semi* put your car back to stock with stock injectors and stock ECU and limp your way to the inspection. Depending on how much that will cost you to go back to stock then back to your normal turbo state, often times it offsets the extra $700 from the Kpro.

I would be one of those people. I'm just not comfortable doing what is required myself, so I went Kpro.

your going to have to Relocate your fuse box.

Heat is going to be your biggest issue with this kit, your heater line is gonna melt too just to give you a heads up. your gonna need a good heat-shield for the manifold.

The extra air coming outta the waste gate is gonna have to have a custom weld into the down-pipe unless you want to just vent to atmosphere.

That turbo has a good chance of over-boosting since your exhaust is soo small. (trust me...you WILL over boost)

I rebuilt my motor and my car has already over boosted a few times because of my restricting exhaust. i'm very thankful i built the motor or it could have gone pop already haha.

...ya a few extra lbs of boost can blow up a stock motor easily...especially with that large turbo.

You should just get an AEM EMS since your already going to go big with the full-race kit..don't waste your time with a KPro, its only gonna hurt you later down the line.

ooo and get an oil-cooler. you will need it :-D
