The s2000 engines are open deck, meaning there is nothing but empty space for coolant around the cyl.'s. That is a "block guard", it may have been done during the re-sleeving, or may even be part of the sleeves. But just saying, that seems to be the best one I have seen, retaining the open deck coolant flow, but still adds a measure of support against cyl. walk.

I called them and they said that the cost to resleeve of the block is about 950.00
