Is my setup okay? Suggestions or input?
Hey FI guys,
I've had the greddy turbo kit on my car for a while, and have sold it a few months ago and was planning a new winter project. I have decided on the inlinepro stage 2 race kit. I've actually been wanting to do this for a while, and will probably pull the trigger this winter. I just want to make sure I have everything down right. So your help is much appreciated. Thanks in advance.
So my desired goal is to be around 450-500whp on 93 octane. The car will not be daily driven.
2005 F22C
Here is a list of what I have put together so far for what I will need.
Stage 2 street kit with fuel and engine management:
InlinePRO T4 turbo manifold
Borg warner S363 or S366 Turbo
AEM EMS version 2 (Most likely going Kpro)
InlinePRO 900cc injectors
InlinePRO injector clips
InlinePRO 2.5" charge pipes
InlinePRO Blowoff Valve
InlinePRO 3" downpipe
InlinePRO Couplers and clamps
InlinePRO 800 hp intercooler
Tial MVR Wastegate
Walboro 255 fuel pump
InlinePRO Oil Feed kit
InlinePRO Oil Return kit
Engine and transmission mounts
OEM HG
70MM Exhaust system
70MM TP
Boost, AFR, oil pressure, oil temp, water temp, controller/gauges
Upgraded clutch and flywheel
I'll prob upgrade my brakes down the line. I already have wider wheel/tire setup that I did when I had the Greddy Kit. Do I need new head studs, differential or anything else? Also, if I listed anything unnecessary please let me know. I'm concerned that my exhaust and tp setup may not be restricted enough. Will I have problems with boost spike or creep? I'm in NY so we have all 4 seasons here.
Also, which EMS should I go with to be able to pass emissions, retain my CEL's and OBDII? I've done some research and it seems Hondata Kpro is the best option. Is this true?
If you need more details and information to answer my questions please ask and I will post. Thanks again. I'm really looking forward to putting 450+ whp on the S.

Hmm, I knew you wouldn't be able to pass emissions right off the bat, but I just did some research and it is seems like you have to switch a lot of stuff to get it to pass. I don't know if I wanna go AEM EMS anymore thanks for that comment.

Everything you have stated sounds pretty good, but you left out quite a few things. ID 1000's will be a must for that power range as well as at minimum a 340 lph fuel pump.(I made 546 on E85 with a single 340 lph so it will be plenty for 93) With an AEM EMS on a 100% stock engine you will not pass inspection, it deletes your factory monitor system. I am running ARP Headstuds on my setup, but some people suggest against them. ( I haven't had any problems yet) Your planned 70mm exhaust will not be too restrictive, there is no such thing with a turbo setup. I'm running full 3 inch straight pipe. You shouldn't need to upgrade the transmission or differential right away, as long as you don't launch the car you'll be okay. New engine and transmission mounts might be a good idea though. The biggest killers of the differential is "shock" and wheel hop. By not launching the car or slipping the clutch you can eliminate the "shock", and by using proper tires, suspension, and differential mounts you can greatly reduce wheel hop.
