16 psi and race gas on stock compression, I'd be scared
Mase did like 22psi on a 3076R with 116octane C16. I thought it should be fine, but the fact remains that the engine is still 11:1 CR and thats pretty high for a turbo car. I know I can do 10-11 on pump 93. I might try 13-14psi on racegas and just increase the timing a little more to extract a little extra power. So you think 16psi on race gas stock CR is too much eh?

Thats why i posted this question...I wanna hear from you guys.

You can run a walbro 255, big injectors without a AFPR? I'm not doubting you, I just come from DSMs. I realize they are two different cars but I know a little bit about turbos and fuel but I'm always still learning =)

Yes, you can run the larger injectors with the EMS and no FPR. FPR would be needed if the EMS did not already control injector duty cycles... similar to the Vortech fuel system (I believe).

Also, no need for Tru-Boost if you are running full EMS... you just need the solenoid, I believe the EMS has a built in controller (albeit electronic vs. manual, it allows multiple boost settings)... it would be needed if you were to only run the FIC unit or something like that...

If I am mistaken, let me know!

As far as the psi goes, the log manifold might hurt you a bit. The whole goal behind higher boost levels should be as low an intake charge temp as possible. Colder the charge the less likely the chance of pre-detonation. And, at those boost levels on stock CR, its all in the tune!

Just a slight correction for clarity.

With an EMS you still need a FPR. The stock one will do.

What you don't need is a rising rate FPR (RRFPR) such as the Comptech unit that replaces the OEM FPR or the Vortech unit which supplememnts it.

Ok I see now. Thanks guys for clearing that up. Us DSMers rarely ever use a full standalone so I don't know much about it.

well the log is a lot less likely to crack, and its easier to access bolts and whatnot with a log in there. I know the tubular is going to make more power but i have used log manifolds in the past on different cars and you can still make good power with a log. Who knows down the road i might go tubular but the log just makes sense right now.
