NC Inspection
I have seen several posts and had many conversations, but no solid answers. Those of us who are boosted and using AEM EMS, is there a way to get inspected?
Have met guys who have non boosted friends who switch ems and get the friends car inspected ( knew the folks doing the inspection)
Have met guys who have car registered at friends house in counties that do not do emissions inspection
Having neither of those readily available... what will need to happen to pass?
Remove injectors and install stock; put stock ems back in, drive for 100 miles and go get inspected?
Anybody with experience in NC?

I can't comment on NC but NYS is pretty damn strict too.
All cars 96 and newer require to be plugged into the state for emissions inspection. Impossible with AEM as it doesn't retain obd2 functionality.
I am in the same boat and here's what I see the options as
1. KPRO, retains a factory ECU, and all OBD2 functionality, if you get the "sniffer" test you may have to alter your tune to reflect levels considered "acceptable" but the people I know that do this have an "inspection" map and a regular street performance map.
2. If you MUST go with AEM, you can do like you stated, pull your ECU, Injectors, map sensor <--if you upgraded, drive the car until all the monitors are set
3.Can be the hardest to pull off on your end, but if you have a shop that's willing to hook it up, you may be OK. Find a friend with the same year S2000, have them scan your registration and all that but plug the stock car into the machine, you will then have to somehow get the sticker stuck to your car, but I am sure if you chose to go this route it shouldn't be a problem.
4. Straight up buy one, probably the most risky if you ever get stopped or the sticker scanned but IK up here there are still shops that will sell them for the right price.
hope that helps a least a little bit for ya.

I do have plans to move to either SC or FL in the future...but not just yet. Thanks for all the responses.
The time has come!!! I just received the registration renewal in the mail today...damn I wish I was ready to move to Florida... I would just blow it off. I know there are quite a few of you out there that have this issue and probably have a system in place for OBDII inspections, but I am going to post what I do and the results for my boosted friends in all states.
This will be the first attempt and I will..
1) Replace Test Pipe with OEM Cat.
2) Replace id1000 injectors with OEM injectors.
3) Replace Map sensor with OEM sensor.
4) Remove belt from SC
5) Replace the AEM EMS with the stock ECU
6) Drive at least 100 miles (will hope to do this in one day) pray no CEL's appear and
7) Take to inspection station that I know a few guys who work there and they really like my car...
I have to do this by 03/31; waiting on a clear day.
If anyone thinks I am missing something, please let me know.
