Default Need the FI forums help...

As most of you know, I had inline sleeve my motor.

AP2
2.2L
87mm 9.1 CP's
AEBS sleeves.

For rods I choose Brian Crower (BC), due to price. However I just got word today that they are 4 weeks out on back order.

My motor is about to be shipped in a few days. If I wait for the rods to be made and shipped, I won't have the motor together and tuned before the weather turns bad.

I thought about using my OEM rods, but I don't think they work w/the CP wrist pins (someone please correct me if I am wrong).

SO, my question to you all is, anyone know of somewhere that has some AP2 aftermarket rods for a decent price AND in stock that are good for 700whp+?

Appreciate the help in advance guys.

Thanks!!

Also, just so this is an informative post, please feel free to post up what rods you are using in your built motors and why.

talked to some scca guys that had built blocks. all sorts of diff pistons, but a decent amount used carrillo rods. they are costly though compared to the bc stuff.

See if Inline can cut you a deal on their 2.2L rods since you're getting a motor sleeved by them. S2ki pricing should be cheaper than regular retail too and regular price is 729 and it includes ARP2000 rod bolts.

not to get off topic, but did you end up having issues at those levels on the stock motor/compression?

i think he ran outa meth nozzle. its relatively small even though its the largest of the three aem includes in the kit. you can get bigger, or dual nozzle setups and then i think he woulda be fine for a bit more powa.
