The Garrett models "gtX" series are their newer design, providing more efficiency in a smaller package.....a simplified comparison would be that the gtX30....has the ability to output nearly as much as the older version of the GT35 turbo, but does so in a smaller housing with quicker spool-up.

They've been so popular in the past 4 - 6 months, that most performance shops have had them on back-order, and many customers / who want to buy have been on waiting lists.

This is a quote from the Garrett site:

The next step in the evolution of the turbocharger is here! Garrett® GTX-R Turbos feature all new compressor wheels with next generation aerodynamics and improved efficiency to deliver wicked performance!

Garrett® GTX-R Turbochargers provide higher flow and greater boost pressure ratios beyond the world-class Garrett GT Series compressor wheels.
• 10%+ Gain in flow over traditional GT compressor wheel designs
• 10%+ Higher pressure ratio compared to traditional GT compressor wheel designs
• Forged, fully machined wheels (billet) for expedited release
• 11 Full-blade design for improved efficiency and ultra quiet operation
• Outline interchangeable with Garrett® GT Series turbos
• Garrett® OE-quality for unbeatable reliability

Talk to Bisi @ Bisimoto Engineering. He does a great deal of work with Turbonetics, and a lot of work with S2000's. He has some of the best prices on Turbonetics stuff and is a awesome guy to deal with. After he did my retune, I would recommend him hands down in terms of customer service and support. I'm sure that he could direct you to the best possible turbo for your goals.

feel free to make recommendations on other turbos but keep in mind I want to stay around the same size and they must be watercooled.

I'd look at upgrading your manifold before your turbo.

I think my modified inline pro log should be good enough for my goals. I am replacing the cheap turbo that came with the revhard kit because the seals are blown and it is not worth having it rebuilt.

I am regretting not buying the ptuning manifold that thing is the sex. With the money I spent on the inline pro and the work that was done to it I could have bought ptuning's manifold.

Anyone want to buy my inline pro manifold

here are some pics of the manifold.
swaintech white lightening coating

the extrude hone work

it opened the ports up a little bit and made everything really smooth.

your also gonna need to do a notch, don't get me wrong the inline makes a tank for a manifold but you may want to do a different one unless you want to use a b housing. It will stick out more than a revhard, so with the notch, limited power and small WG you may want to consider getting a better manifold before you take the time and energy $$.
