Default need help...comptech s/c

how can i get an older s/c to work w/ a dbw s2k? i know there are subtle differences ie. esm compared to acm unit...what do i need to purchase other than the acm unit? if it's possible to work i'll be getting a reflash from hondata in order to go higher boost

you need standalone management. as far as i know hondata does not supply a reflash for the old comptech setup. i know hondata reflashes for the newer vortech units but the blower is different.

I don't see why the reflash for the Vortech wouldn't work for the Comptech. Boost is boost. What other bits of hardware you'll need I couldn't say.

because his blower is the older novi unit. i'm sure the 2 blowers flow differently and would require different fuel maps.

..
the hondata flashed for the vortech it's for the v3 sci trim, which it's different from the v2, and off cuz it's different from the novi blower also...

u will need e-manager ultimate if u don't want to spent 1500+ for K-pro..

besides , u can PM Dave, he's got a Greddy ap2 kit into his 2007 DBW s2k.. he knows a shop who can do it..

it's not that hard, just some wires and sensors are different..
because i have a vortech DBW tuner kit sitting at home..

Hey james, Dave here (laguna s2k)

Your best bet is standalone management or piggyback; don't use any of those random boxes that will come with the used kit. You want at the very least a piggyback.

standalone = kpro = jeff evans (evans tuning)

piggyback = emanage = giles (holyroller dyno)

Are you planning to run a stock kit, i.e. stock injectors? The reason I ask is if this is a kit with larger injectors, you probably can't use them. 06+ use different injectors.

Yes, I've began to hear that too, and it has got me confused. I was told they were really RSX injectors? Not sure

hey Dave..well there's a member in metro who needs to get rid of his s/c (jacko's old comptech) for personal reasons and i actually want to try to get the s/c off his hands if it's even possible to retrofit it jacko's old comptech into my s2k

stock boost doesn't impress me (number wise) so if it's possible i'd like to run a smaller pulley

what do i need to do in order to make that happen?

besides the smaller pulley, larger injectors...

then a choice of engine management and tuner...

the kit itself should fit
