Default Need help with turbo

I just thought of what i should do to my s2k. I don't know if i should s/c it or turbo. If s/c;What s/c should i get? If turbo; What turbo kit should i get? Also i dont know if i should build a custom turbokit or to buy one. I just need something that can give me over 350 hp and something under 5,500. I really need help on this one. If i do build a custom turbokit, what turbo and other parts should i get to get me the hp i want or even over. Both would be great. But, it all needs to be under 5500 so i can pay for labor; Does anyone know where i can go in NC (perfer to be around raleigh) that doesnt over charge for labor? (or anyone that could work with me "under the table") Thanks for the help

sc u can go comptech or vortech but since comptech is out of business ur looking at a used comptech or vortech, for turbo you can make 350 on any of the kits out there, for your 5500 price range i would say inline pro or rev hard

Which one would be better for the higher rpms? would the revhard kit be better than a custom built?

I'm not going to be the first to tell you this, but your budget is not reasonable for F/I. For that amount of money you're going to get the base parts for either SC or Turbo. You're not going to get the supporting cast which is necessary to see the higher HP levels, reliably.

Turbo would be a better choice for high RPM's.

i agree with the others on the underbudgeting part. i had 10k set aside for my venture (with me installing everything but the headgasket and clutch) and i ended up spending near 13k. its all the odds and ends that pop up that really end up costing more then you may think. also even after you have everything tuned and up and running there are most likely going to be little things here and there that are gonna cost more.

Good God hasn't this question been asked enough to where you can search the words "turbo or supercharger' and find all of your already answered questions played out in pages and pages of debate?
