Default Need Input, Nitrous Backfire

Hey whats up, The other day during an installation of a wet zex kit on my s2k a not so small nitrous backfire occured. The people who installed it accedentally activated the system a few times, filling up the intake with nitrous and fuel. Long story short, i started it, big....big boom.

Damages: Bent the throttle body butterfly in 2 different directions. Blew off the CAI and put a decent size dent in it. Scorched some sound damping material on the hood. Now it idles rough when A/C is on. I smell antifreeze from my air vents and from under my hood. No knocking or pinging, doesn't seem to have any white smoke from the exaust.

so what else should i look for.... and what could other problems be??? thanks alot for the help `Ben

that strong of a backfire is not from fuel in the intake track....and nitrous wont just 'wade' around, it turns to gas and you would need a good amount of gas in there to make that much of a 'boom'.
If I were you I would double check their wiring. Are you using the ZEX box? if so I would highly recommend you buy some new solenoids (NX or dynotunenitrous.com).

I understand alot of people run a single nozzle wet kit but its not good for the motor at all; a direct port kit is MUCH safer.

check map sensor. with enough beating - the throttle plate could be used again. it will never idle the same until you have a new throttle body - good reason to go aftermarket (not that you'll make power). my motor went through almost the same thing. it ran strong as it did before the bottle...till i sold it - which was over a year and 30,xxx later. you'll be fine. also - take the valve cover off and look at the baffle in the top. when i had a solenoid stick open - it seperated the baffle from the valve cover - used a punch and hammered her back on. good as new. dont fret - if it sounds good and runs good - it'll be fine. oh - with the valve cover off - do a valve adjustment.
