Default need some experienced input

I have an s2k with the greddy turbo kit, im pretty knowledgeable when its comes to tuning but ive always been NA, turbo is all new to me.
This isnt to argue which kit is the better kit, im aware of the differences, i got my S with the greddy kit already on it.
Im looking to get more HP, its a pretty quick car but i want something more throw you in your seat faster.
I was thinking about selling the greddy kit and buying the inline pro kit but from what i gathered there really isnt any difference other than the manifold-wastegate-turbo and maybe the injectors. (Im buying EMS regardless so that isnt factored in)
So im thinking im better off keeping the greddy kit and buying the pfab mani, Garrett turbo, and 3" open downpipe, and after the ems and tune i should be making alot more power.
Any experienced tuners please correct me if im wrong here, and give me your thoughts. Ive already priced everything out and upgraded what i have will cost me about $2000 less. But again im new to FI and not sure if ill just create problems for myself doing it this way
Its not a daily driver, but would like to keep it as reliable as possible because i tend to go to meets and shows and cruises 2-3 hours away now and then.

Oh and p.s. I could care less about emitions or if its carb legal, i dont have any of that where i live

It really depends what your idea of throw you back in the seat is.

Upgrading to the IP log kit or upgrading your greddy kit really isn't going to net you much WHP. Maybe high 300s if your LUCKY

At $2000 to upgrade your better off selling your kit for whatever you can get. Lets say $2500 for arguments sake. Then take your $4500 and pickup something worthwhile.

Most of us here are bored of 400-500whp lol (Which I am going to assume thats what your shooting for)

Spoontuner,

You're correct up until you start considering your inter-cooler is probably too small, your charge pipes might be too and whatever other factors I can't think of at this moment. You're going to need a WG and some other things as well such as a MAP sensor.

You'd need to sit down and price out everything that's included in the IP setup vs what you have now, it could be more cost effective to just upgrade the particular pieces as you first said. I'd have to sit and look at what limiting factors your greddy setup brings with it.

Generally I can always beat "kit" prices by piecing things together myself, especially when you consider using a few used items to save a lot of bucks.

You could get a godspeed intercooler for around $200 bucks that'll supply 400-500hp, if you're trying do things on a budget.

I wouldn't agree most are bored with 400-500hp, just a few people, MOST people are happy with 200whp of the stock s2000, then some feel double that isn't enough, even some feel tripple that isn't enough. Some will never feel it's enough. Chances are if you think 300 isn't quite enough but getting there, 500 will be plenty. $.02 on that matter. After 500whp a lot of other things start breaking on the s2000 and putting more than 500whp down to the ground starts getting difficult to the point that the car becomes a dyno/garage queen and not all that useful for hard driving. Unless showing off on the freeway is all you care about, then 1000whp will be just peachy.

thanks for the input, I have another high horsepower intercooler and the piping isnt really that expensive, so i guess im considering just the main components here. As far as power im looking for something in the 350-400whp range, i dont want to get too crazy as like i said i tend to take long trips now and then but i def want something thatll have no problem taking out an evo or cobra, or a turbo'd VW if need be (not that im just looking to race my car, but it does happen now and then, im just using this as a comparison for the power im looking for)

The fastest car you mentioned is the Cobra (03/04 terminator) Mustang. I began taking them down at around 360whp or so.

The turbo VW is laughable if you mean the R32, we can run with it stock.

Most any setup other than the Greddy turbo kit will do what you're looking to accomplish.
