Default New Exhaust Setup... More Power?

im currently running the setup you see in my sig but was planning to go with a single HKS Carbon-Ti 120mm outlet muffler on a 3" catback setup. i kno single= more power but how much of a difference does it make to you guys running 3" single exhaust setups? is the sound significantly louder?

I honestly do not think anything larger than 3" is neccessary on a Supercharged Application - especially at only 10psi. If I'm not mistaken Sideways is running 13.4psi using a fully stock exhaust, he has the most powerful Supercharged S2000 around. Ztec is running full 3" on his Comptech System, yet he is also running a 3" Pulley seeing in excess of 16psi.

i feel as though there is too much restriction when im driving on my invidia setup... better airflow= more power no? also a single exhaust is proven to have better gains than dual

You are mistaken. He's using a titanium ASM or Amuse dual exhaust.

ur not gonna see any gains if u already have an exhaust even if you go from a dual to a single, people see like 3 hp gains or none at all and you have already had that with the exhaust u have, u would waste like 700$ for half a hp

worth it in my opinion. Get it done bumpin, you'll feel a difference throughout the whole rpm range. As far as how loud it'll be, i'm beting it'll be around the same as the invidia you have now, but it's going to look so much nicer...see...

I got mine done last week. custom mandrel bent 3 inch piping to the hks carbon ti turbo exhaust. Sounds amazing, and improved power throughout the whole rpm range, and I'm NA. I can only imagine how it'll feel with your set-up. Hey and you'll shave off somemore weight.

hey HV you got the 170mm (120mm outlet) muffler? im getting mine put on tomorrow with 3" custom manderel bent piping also. be aware that means lots of airflow especially with my J's headers and test pipe... it's gonna sound mean... i love the way your exhaust is tilted to the right just like the subaru bolt ons are... mine will be the same!

9K long time man, how you been? Yeah i got the ap1 rear so that I can use the single exhaust exhaust with the single cap. I haven't gotten the ztec cap yet because I'm waiting on the carbon fiber single group buy that's going on now. Hopefully they will come in soon, then hopefully the diffuser too
