Default New #'s PFAB ELT GT3076R

Went back to get the car tuned today. Actually made less power overall since we couldnt get it to make a clean pull above 14-15psi. With the log I was able to make 18psi pulls all day long but as soon as we tried to make anything over 450whp it would spit and missfire. Put new plugs in it, and gapped them down....didnt matter it would breakup once power went over 450whp so our focus was on the pumpgas map and Ill have to get some new RSX coils to replace my stockers. Anyways...here is the chart ( sorry for the crap picture quality ).

The red pull was on my old log setup on wastegate spring pressure. The log would creep from 8 to 9 to about 10psi by redline. The blue line is the ELT @ the same boost pressure. So this is an apples to apples comparison ( same turbo ). VTEC is set to 5k now ( the rpm is off on the chart dont mind that ). On the log setup you can clearly see where VTEC is set and it actually loses power until 500rpms later and picks back up. With the ELT VTEC is pure love. You can see clearly when VTEC comes on and it puts out SO MUCH more midrange. Im happy with 390whp @ 9-10psi on pumpgas for now.

Also check this video out, from mexico. Little fun that night with the new.

That is odd that some people are having problem with ignition breaking up. I did one tune up to 550 whp on stock ap1 coils with 90,000 miles on them. I upgraded to the RSX coils anyway when I went for more power. Looks like you have some nice spooling though, ELM FTW, now just crank up the boost!

dude maybe it was heatsoaked, because i cranked her to 19psi on the street and 3rd wont hook whatsoever and there was no breakup. LMAO. Still gonna get new coils but this thing is SO MUCH better than the log setup.

He probably scaled the fuel / timing for that pressure, but they were unable to log it on the dyno... S2000 coils are hit-and-miss. Some support 30+psi, some break up below 20psi... Although they are the same part, some appear to function better than others (probably good / bad batches from the factory).

Nice Andy, its great to see an actual before and after with the same criteria. When do plan on upgrading the coils and retune? I'd really like to see what it does on oem cr and pump

This is the first Ive heard of rsx coil packs being better than s2k's. Is it only AP1 coil packs that suck or is it all s2k coil packs? why are the dc5 packs better?
