Default New Vortech Kit Knocking

I just installed the Vortech kit with the Hondata reflash on my 06 and I have a knock from about 3500-4500 RPM at WOT. I installed new plugs (NGK BKR7E gapped down to .025) as suggested by a few people and still have issues. Anybody have any insight or suggestions?

you could try an iridium plug thats of a #8 heatrange, #7's are stock heatrange. Thats probably not whats causing knock though, maybe its lean in that spot for some reason?

91 octane from Shell. Wideband will be going in next week hopefully. Wanted to run in the autocross on Sunday, but if I can't get this taken care of, that's out of the question.

You have any 93 available? If not toss in some octane booster to see if the the knock goes away.

Did you double check all the SC mounting bolts, installed items etc, for causing a rattle?

Called Vortech, was told to change the plugs (which were already on the way, nobody in town had them), can't reach them again until Monday.

No 93 available here. I've checked everything I can think of for a rattle. If that's what it is, in my experience it happens whenever you're at that RPM range, not just at WOT. If I can't get it taken care of, I'll dump in some octane booster just to see. That may shed a little light on the problem, but it certainly doesn't fix it.

I assume your running the stock 6-7psi kit? You shouldnt have any pre ignition since timing isnt an issue on a centrifugal charger at this level, but you may have some detonation caused from low 91 octane and stock heat range plugs. You also may be running a poor afr and need to make adjustments there, you have 3 things to take care of. Likely doing one or all three of these will eliminate your problem.
