New vs. Old
I have a 2001 S2 and have done nothing to it. I bought it because it only had 12500 miles on it and it was only like 20K. I couldn't pass on it... Anyways, I want to build an S2 but before I get started I want to know if I should just sell this one and buy an 2005. I am going to do some sort of forced induction for sure and just curious if one year was better to build up than the other....

It depends on what you want to do. The new s2k's are obviously stronger and have a bigger motor. The redline isn't as high as the 01's, but the RWHP is alot higher than that of an '01. The look and style of the 05's are way better IMO. The lights and the rear glass are hot.

Keep your '01.
IMO i like the 00-03 look a little better. Less going on in the front and rear and no orange in the rear lights. Put your money in your current S. You will be happy, and even more so if you go FI
