Nitrous, Diff, DR's
I know that nitrous isnt exactly FI, but I think this forum you guys would know the most about higher HP S2ks at the track. Yes I am going spray, and yes I drag race the S. Just wondering what else I should reinforce. I have a comptech diff, soon to have a HTG Clutch/Flywheel, I wanted to run Drag Radials for when Im at the track. What is the weakest link in that combo?
Edit: The spray is only for the track, maybe 2-3 times a year. It will be a 75 wet shot spraying at 6k in first

....uhmm how about some hp numbers?
a 75wet on a otherwise stock S2K?
Dude. I launch a turbo car and my buddy makes 425whp and launches his REALLY hard clutch delay removed, chirping into 2nd hard as well on a bone stock diff even, no issues.
The main thing were talking is the hook-up, figure if he can get away with that on sticky street tires w/ low psi you outa be able to get away with drag radials and a upgraded diff.
oh just remembered what tires he was running if that helps. Nitto 555's w/ low pressure.

Get an inlinepro diff kit or don't bother at all.
9/10 people cannot launch the car on DRs, nos, etc, etc while keeping the stock diff in tact, a comptech diff is not much of an upgrade over stock unfortunately.
If you don't have money for the IP kit, then your not going to have money to replace the axles / stock diff again and again when they do break.

That makes no sense. Why only spray in 1st and at 6k? You can spray a 75 all the time. If you wheel hop it at the track it will break the diff.
no he's saying why are you waiting until 6k to spray? That means your probably sliding the clutch until you get to near 6K? Clutch won't last long, but thats the only way your going to get decent times because the motor makes no power down low.
This is one of the reasons the S2K is USELESS FOR DRAG RACING. IMO
In general spraying in low rpms makes for massive stress on the internals because of TQ not HP. The lower you spray the more TQ your making and stressing the motor. HOWEVER 75 isn't a lot and he feels you can spray that across the band. I'd say 4K to be safe and that's not AS bad on the clutch wear, so slip the clutch till your hooked up and at 4K then spray until your run is done.
That's just my 'interpretation".
