No O2 Sensors to Stock ECU
I have a supercharged AP1 that I need to get tuned on aftermarket EMS. I have the pre and post cat factory O2 sensors disconnected and harnesses taped up. The only sensor is the aftermarket wideband mounted in my header.
I plan to swap back to factory injectors and ECU to drive to the shop with supercharger belt disconnected. Can I leave the factory O2 sensors as they are (disconnected) and drive to the shop? Will it just run very rich and throw a CEL? |

Jokes aside, not 100% sure how OEM would react or go into limp mode, but I wouldn't as it wouldn't be able to control short trims under light load to keep your AFR in a safe zone. |
I figured it would just run in open loop mode like it does upon start-up when the O2 sensors are not warmed up. Looking for the easiest/safest way to get this car to the shop in the current configuration while trying to avoid a $150-$200 flatbed tow, if not necessary.

Keep the factory upstream sensor in place on header. The one for the cat doesn't need to be there. 5 min swap at the dyno.

just keep it under 3k rpm you should be fine.
