Default Noisy Fuel Pump

The comptech supplied fuel pump in my car is really loud and getting louder.

It didn't make noise last year unless I drove the car hard (track day etc) now its noisy all the time.

Do I need to worry?

All the Walbro 255lph pumps I've ever heard are loud. They tend to make more noise as the tank gets empty. I wouldn't worry with it unless the pressure starts dropping.

I spoke to comptech about this issue as well, and they said it was a regular annoyance with the fuel pump. I noticed that it also gets louder the warmer the weather is and the longer I drive the car.

However, after leaving this be for about four months my car suddenly burst into flames from the fuel pump!

jk it should be fine

The pump is in the tank, and you have to remove the plastic trim under the soft top to access the cover plate for it.
