NON-SQ VORTECH?

I have a friend who has a non-SQ (non-super quiet) Vortech supercharger for sale. I didn't know there was a non-SQ charger. My question is: is it really loud? Does it exist? What's the deal?

Thanks for the link. What makes me most curious is the Vortech doesn't offer a package that is not SQ.... so there in lies my question.
