Again, if you take the silicone couplers off between the blower and the A/C and the A/C and the throttle body, you will find oil throuout the entire intake system - It is either coming from the front breather hose on the valve cover that connects to the Comptech elbow between the filter and blower inlet or A blower bearing is leaking.
Look at the elbow to see if there is oil residue before the blower inlet!
Do you have a catch can? how is it hooked up? I would run a catch can from your PCV valve to a catch can (no return hose) and run a filter on the front breather to run your head at atmospheric eliminating the hose to the elbow (carb certification) don't forget to put a plug on the intake mani where you disconnected the line to run to a catch can and a plug on the elbow between the Filter and Blower - this is to see if you are blowing oil past your rings and out the valve cover or to see if the blower bearings are going bad - I also HIGHLY recommend a compression test to determine what your rings are doing.
I had these exact symptoms and shortly after had a ring failure - If I had done a compression test I could have saved my head at least! Not to be an alarmist but if someone had helped me I would have saved alot of time and $$$$$$
You need to isolate the oil source - I was using more oil than normal a few weeks before the engine failure.
I don't have a catch can and will take the car back to the installer and have check your suggestions. Sorry to hear about your mishap and thanks for sharing your info.
my BOV LOOKED JUST LIKE THE ONE ON THOSE PICS. AND THEN WHEN I TOOK OF THE INTAKE WHERE IT HOOKS UP TO WHERE THE S/C SUCKS IN AIR THERE WAS QUITE A BIT OF OIL THERE. TOMMORROW IM SHIPING MY S/C TO PAXTON TO GET IT FIXED. THEY ARE THE ONLY ONES WHO WILL DO SO FAR THAT I KNOW OFF. AND THE HOSE THATS ON THE BREATHER IT WAS DRY ,NO OIL THERE.
Meaning no pressure in the valve cover, It's like uncorking your valve cover to let the pressure escape - The PCV valve lets pressure out and is sent to the intake mani and the front breather is routed to the comptech elbow between the filter and blower so nothing is vented to the atmosphere, That is done for Carb certification if I remember correctly. By eliminating the front breather hose to the elbow, If you still have oil in your intake track then My guess would be a blower bearing - In my case, Oil was being pushed past the rings on #2 and into the head and out the PCV causing some smoke and the front breather was connected to a catch can and filling it at an alarming rate.
