Nos on S2000
Hi guys,
I was going through the forums searching for a thread with infos on s2k + nos.
Is it a bad idea to have nos in your s2k?
do you have to upgrade a lot of parts since the s2k oem parts are already built to handle high performance?
thanks,

NOS is a brand - you're thinking of nitrous oxide the product, of which there are many, many companies that make kits for automobiles. Calling it "NOS" is a little silly a'la Fast and the Furious.
You can do a 50 wet (n2o is mixed with fuel - much safer) shot safely, anything more and some engine management is going to be needed.
This would be better posted in the Forced Induction forums, or a search on the topic as this has been covered quite a bit

Just be cautious with nitrous, not sure if it applies to the s2000 well, but I have it on my Mustang and installed it a few times on firends celica GTS's and its good to go by the 15-15 rule meaning spray for no 15 seconds with a 15 minute cool down period before each spray and you should be good to go.Also not sure about the different kits for the s2ki ,my mustang has a NOS kit which ran me about $750 w/ purge kit and if you have decent mechanical skills installation is a breeze.
N20 is a great power adder for the S2000. Gives very good and solid TQ numbers. When spraying you need to first buy a good kit. 2nd you can go wet or dry. Make sure you understand the difference. If you plan on running on the stock ecu a wet system will be needed. The best way to do nitrous tho is through a dry systetm using AEM EMS. You then can control addition injector duty cycle and Raw Fuel. Also ignition redtard is going to be a must of bigger shots. If you plan on staying under 50hp you can use a wet setup if you have the mean to control the injectors then you can go dry with control from the EMS. Also colder would be a good idea to use. DO IT THE RIGHT WAY OR NOT AT ALL.
