Default Nube - forced injection

I have a 2004 with <13K miles (really). Wanting More HP. Just want more fun. I want minimal effort, but 350ish HP. Willing to pay extra for future growth, but not a lot. Would really want more torque. I'm thing longevity = turbo, but I want a SC. What to do???? Which SC solution?

SC kit won't give you the added torque you want. If added down low and mid range torque is what you are wanting look into the turbo kits that are available.
Bolt on sc kit would be the most reliable but they follow the stock powerband curve just adding more mostly up top.

Can't he also lower VTEC engagement to aid and get an SC?

Yes he can but it won't make a big difference midrange. My car still feels slow until 6k rpms with my sc kit. I make 420+whp with it. It's all 5-6k and up. Lowering Vtec doesn't instantly give you vtec power feel lower down. It smoothens it out and can give come gains midrange but nothing very big. AP2 more so compared to ap1 though.

Hmm...even with my old KW setup I had lots more low to mid over stock...IMHO. With the TTS kit that's fattened up even more. There's quite a bit from 4-6k. Running at 75mph in sixth it's at 4000rpm and there's plenty of go to pass moderately aggressive. Again, just IMHO.

I guess with AP2 you get a little more since the powerband is shifted down a bit. That or I'm just used to my turbo legacy too much and makes my S feel so damn slow around town. Kraftwerks and tts with the rotrex make a little more midrange torque as well compared to other centri blowers.

Not sure how much low rpm torque you need in this car, I already start breaking traction at 4500rpm in first and sometimes second gear with 295's. An f22 makes about 20lb more torque at any given rpm with compatible superchargers, couple that with one of the bigger blowers IE novi1200 or c38 running full boost, there is plenty of power on tap at any rpm to push you in the seat. More then once ive roll raced with various levels of turbo Subaru's and the outcome is always about the same, I step on the gas about 4500rpm and its pretty even, they shift to the next higher gear and then I start getting into the meat of my power band and leave them in the dust, then I shift to the next higher gear. A comparable sized turbo has more available trq from 3500-6krpm but a supercharger with an after cooler has much better engine/throttle response at any rpm. So there are always some trade offs. I think a superchargers power delivery is more fun overall and its easier to drive fast if canon carving or tracking is what you enjoy.

I don't lose traction with 255's hardly ever even in first gear when warm of course. The extra few tq in AP2 must just put it over the edge.

Possibly yes, also yielding 17-19psi depending on the ambient temp which may be a little more then you are yet. Also as you may or may not have discovered, once you break traction with an sc, it blows the tires off, simply due to making more power thr higher it revs. If you break traction in the mid range, its a short trip to spinning the tires faster and bouncing off the rev limiter sometimes quicker then you can catch and modulate.

I would look into the new Kraftwerks kit if you want SC and some more torque. It's similar to the TTS kit mentioned above but easier/cheaper to get in the US
