Default The official line lock thread

Ok so I've replied to the 4 year old line lock thread with no success or real answers so I set out to figure this out and come up with some solid answers and solutions for our cars.

To keep things concise and short. Our cars have a diagonal ABS system meaning the each input from the master cylinder does not control the front or rear wheels exclusively but rather controls one front wheel and the diagonal rear wheel.

Putting a single line lock between the ABS and the master cylinder on the front port left me with the passenger front wheel and drivers rear wheel locked (useless for our purposes)

So to keep this simple we have TWO options for our vehicles

WITH ABS
- Two line lock solenoids must be used
- Each solenoid must be placed somewhere on each front wheel between the caliper and ABS unit

WITHOUT ABS
- One line lock solenoid is needed
- Once the ABS unit is removed you use the solenoid to effectively "T" off the front port of master brake cylinder
- A single line is routed into the IN port of the line lock from the front brake port
- Each front wheel line is run from the solenoid to the wheel

I also have a parts list of the fittings needed. I will be going the dual line lock route to retain the ABS. I will post pictures once its completed (I still have to order the 2nd line lock)

Let me know if you guys have any questions or comments!

Any updates? Would love to see pictures and a parts list. A detailed writeup would be awesome too!

Would you keep ABS or delete it? If the former, what OMalley described is correct; you would "T" into the front brakes. Parts needed (excluding the line lock itself) would include two 3AN "T's" 8 tube nuts, 8 tube sleeves, (some extra 3/16" tubing; I personally prefer cunifer) and a tool to bend/flare the lines.

Essentially, push a button to lock the front brakes during a burnout

You can use it to preload for launching too.

I'd definitely want to keep the ABS though.

THis would be a killer way to save OEM diffs and Axles

Can be done with E-brake and practice, I love it and cut a 1.7xx 60'
