Oil Buildup On Comptech Blower

I took the pipe off that goes from the intake box to the Paxton unit. When I took it off I noticed that there was a black build-up before the impellar. I whiped it away and it appears to be oil.

Is this normal or is it coming from the breather line that goes into the intake tube?

Maybe could it be if you oiled your air filter, the charger sucks it in?

I had the same thing when I looked at mine. It wasn't much so I assumed it was from the air filter oil that consolidated there. When I cleaned the filter I sprayed the filter pretty vigorously so I can see how it would be easy for it to deposit there.

I think you'll find it came down the pipe from the valve cover breather. I believe the SC sucks it down. I had it with my SC and as my turbo is set up the same way it also happens now. Intention is to put a catch tank inline.
