Default Oil Change with Comptech S/C

Any Advice for changing oil with comptech. I went to my local mechanic and he wasn't sure how to do the oil change. He wasn't sure about the new plug to supply the S/C and if anything has to be done to drain the s?c itself. It seems comptech would supply some basic info on this. Any help appreciated

It's pretty simple. You loosen the hose fitting, and remove the hose from the adapter fitting in the original drain plug location.

I hate to say it, but if your mechanic couldn't figure it out I'm not confident in any of his/her abilities.

He was more concerned about the S/C itself and if any thing needs to be done to it.

Thanks

Oil drains fron the SC to the bottom of the pan. Oil is supplied to the SC from the small dia. hose off the VTEC solenoid. The SC doesn't use a sealed lubrication system, it uses the same oil the engine does.

Make sure you have 2 box wrenches so that you freeze the fitting while turning it. You don't want to ruin the fitting or strip the oil pan..

Since it's about the same topic, I though I just ask it out, what type of oil do you guys with S/C normally used? Is there any recommended one out there? Can I just go to the valvoline shop to do the oil change?

After a bad experience with a previous car and a drive thru oil change place, I will never go to one of those again. So, I'd recommend doing it yourself.

As far as oil, I use Mobil 1 because I want to pad Mobil Oil's pockets... errr I mean I use it for the extra protection that synthetic oil give, yeah that's it.

Also, that fitting is 15/16ths. Someone correct me if I'm wrong. This is only significant if, like me, you were expecting a metric size like the rest of the hardware on the car.
