The stock unit really is more of a oil warmer at start up then it helps cool as the oil temps peak - I bypassed my stock Oil/Water adapter to help control high oil temps at the track and it even helped my coolant temps since the coolant no longer had to cycle through the hot oil adapter. Make sure you get a relocation with a thermostat to help your oil get to temp quicker. I pieced together a system myself!

You can pickup a Tru-Cool for about $80. I've used both Mocal and Tru-Cool. The $300 Mocal didn't result in any better cooling than with the Tru-Cool.

We are using the Tru-Cool 24 row cooler, along with all pre-fit braided stainless -10 lines, mounting plates, and of course an improved, higher flowing billet filter relocator block, than the common competitors. You should be able to install the kit in around 20 minutes As for the thermostat, we havent used one, as we just manually warm our cars up; but if we can fit it into the price, naturally we will.

That, and the turbo makes for a VERY effective oil-heater, so it should balance out because it reaches operating temperature in about 10 seconds vs. 2 minutes for coolant.

I dont have an oil temp guage, but when oil pressures would normally start dropping, they stayed VERY solid during testing, and this was with the 12 row cooler.
Next week Ill have pictures of the complete setup.

I went with Earl's all the way. Their billet thermostat is way nicer than the cast units on the market.
