Mine has never popped out, before or after the installation of a catch can. I hear of few S/Cd cars that do this. Popping dipsticks are in the minority even amongst S/Cd cars.

I believe this is so. Get a new PCV valve (if you don't wish to go the Krant Vent route), try a new dipstick. If these don't resolve it, it may very well be that the hole in the valve cover is oddly too big and you'll need a new valve cover. Most people I've heard who have had this problem have fixed it with a new dipstick.

wierd, my dipstick pops and i'm n/a...

 

My dipstick pops up on my N/A car when I drive it aggressively. It has done it since new.

 

Any of the N/As fix the "popping" of the dipstick? If so, what fixed it?

 

Superglue , it hasn't popped out ever since.

Mine pops out consistently especially when driven at high rpms or downshifting from being N/A to SC. I wouldnt worry about it much as the hood will only let it go up by a cm. I did wipe off the oil around the o-rings, but it still pops out occasionally.

 

Try the following one at a time till something works:
1. Wipe off the oil from the green rings at the top of the dipstick each and every time you take it out.
2. Put in a new PCV valve.
3. Get a new dipstick. (warranty?)
4. Get a new dipstick hole. (This may involve getting a new valve cover and may be covered by warranty.)
