Default Oil pressure gauge install

Hey guys i did some research for installing a mechanical oil pressure gauge and before i attempt this i want to be assured of my doing.

So im going to have a fitting running from the block into a hose. From that hose to the stock oil pressure sender and then attach a T.. Does that sound about right?

If ur using a mechanical gauge i dont think u need the oem sending unit. But im not sure if it will trigger the dummy light on the cluster.

Make sure you're using top notch hoses and fittings. You're running hot engine oil into your cabin. I've always run electric gauges just for that reason.
